One of the reasons we headed out west a few weeks ago was to attend the Custer State Parks annual Buffalo Round up. It was a cold cold day so that made it not super enjoyable with 4 small kids but over all we had a great time and will pry go back some year when all the kids are a bit older.
There was pry close to 1,500-2,000 buffalo that they rounded up. They use more pick ups than horses for the round up because the buffalo ‘respect’ a pick up more so than a man/horse.
