This past week we have been able to spend some time with my Grandparents who drove in from Iowa and Jen, Dane & Kale from Chicago.

trouble – trouble -trouble
. . .with our annual Labor Day auction behind us we can say that summer is officially over. We had a great auction – one of the biggest ever! We sold over 5,500 lots/848 tractors in just 3 long /fun days. The weather however felt like the middle of July, I know the food vendors went through over 110 cases of water in just the first day and a half!
Barrett took his first tractor ride through the auction arena on a nice shiny red tractor! Lets just say that his Daddy and Grandpa Polk weren’t to happy – ha ha
Barrett also got super spoiled by Grandma Van Beek who took care of him for 3 whole days!
Barrett continues to amaze us each day with the new things that he learns. He has officially started to crawl and loves to buzz around the office or house in his walker. He has tons of funny faces that light Jeff and I up all the time.
We should have a semi-eventful fall too – we have one more trip to Colorado planned (this will be our 3rd trip this year!) a hunting trip to Nebraska, a trip to Grandpa & Grandma Van Beek in South Dakota, and some Sun-time in Florida.
