Today we could use a few prayers for our nephew Andon. He is having is annual scan and we pray that the scan is clean once again! Andon is a true joy in our family. He has the most contagious laugh, he lights up the room as soon as he walks in and is always full of lots of good questions!
Andon was diagnosed with a glioblastoma brain tumor on Oct. 24, 2006 (he was 7 months old). Since being diagnosed, he has been through a 15 hour brain surgery, in which they removed about 80-90% of the tumor. He has done chemo and a stem cell transplant. The tumor started growing again in July 2007. They did experimental chemo (which worked) and finished off doing proton radiation. Since that time all of Andons scans have been clean!
