Prayers for Mom

As many of you know by now my mother had open heart surgery on Monday, January 17 at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. My parents went to the Clinic on Friday for a routine check up and it was decided then and there that she need to have surgery and the 1st opening they had was Monday morning at  6 am, so it was very fast decision. All of us kids along with my Grandpa & Grandma Van Beek, Grandma Dorhout, Uncle Ed and Aunt Sharon were there to send her off to surgery and welcome her back. The surgery went well and they were able to repair her valve instead of replacing it. She is recovering great but still does not a have a release date from the hospital, initially they said 5-6 days after surgery.  We would like to THANK each one of you who has remembered us in your thoughts and prayers the past few days. Please continue to pray that she has a speedy recovering.

Here are some pictures I snapped at the hospital.

ha ha...don't be so sure about 7-8 months worth of diapers. that babe will need a diaper change about 10 times a day when it first comes home!! truly...it's amazing how often you have to change them! :) Love to hear that your mom is doing well!!
